Bonpardon was founded in 2012 by Dieter Bussche and has since grown into a well-established presence within Belgian street theatre. Over the years, the company refined its style through countless workshops, trainings, and performances, with one inexhaustible source of inspiration: the university of the street.

Bonpardon brings theatre that is performed close to and with the audience — playful, interactive, and infused with humor, mime, and humanity. Their acts manage to touch and connect effortlessly, each time offering a unique blend of improvisation, physical expression and poetic absurdity.

Always in search of innovation, the company continues to push its boundaries. From 2025 onwards, Bonpardon even presents a premiere: a street theatre act (Fabriek Majestiek) in which AI technology and live performance meet.

Today, Bonpardon has grown into a fully-fledged company with multiple performers who continue to create original, high-quality street theatre with passion and craftsmanship. Driven by the street theatre spark and the magic of public space, Bonpardon keeps surprising, moving, and making audiences laugh — time and again, up close and straight from the heart.
